Reported to reception who moved us to another room with a sauna, sauna did not work, horrendous noise from the kitchen fans and no sea view which we had upgraded to. Back to reception for a second time and had to argue to get moved room again. Third room was terrible, smelt damp, curtains hanging off, paint peeling off walls and cracks in windows. "Another fantastic stay at Aspen lodge where nothing is too much trouble and you are served amazing breakfasts. Stayed for a week and we literally had a different breakfast daily. You can eat indoors or outdoors too here. We came back for the views and location, the food and the peace and most of all the warmth and kindness and local knowledge of our host A big thankyou once again"

"The public areas of the hotel were clean and comfortable but my room was downright scruffy. The carpet was fraying in places and although the toilet, sink and shower in the bathroom were clean the room itself was in need of attention. The only good thing about the room was the view! HOWEVER I understand that the hotel is in the process of renovation, in fact work was in progress in one room on my floor so I was probably unlucky in the timing of my visit.
