"Stayed at the Black Dog Inn in Bolton for two nights. The room itself was comfortable enough for the price, so no major complaints there. However, the overall experience was disappointing. "Large and spacious room very modern if a little basic. Minimalistic wardrobe space and tiny table/ moveable desk. More than adequate for an overnight stay. Included breakfast is simple and basic but very nice . "

"Check-in was easy, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was small with stains on the carpet and marks on the wall - not great. Evening meal was very good in terms of quality. Not great was serving time and overall state of chairs and tables. Chairs were absolutely uncomfortable and tables wabbly in restaurant and breakfast room. "This was our 3rd visit to the Worsley hotel whilst visiting family in the UK. The hotel is nice, but the rooms are a bit in need of an upgrade. The bathrooms could use better quality towels and new granite. The current countertop looks old and worn out like an older motel, not a 4 star hotel. The bedding is minimal and when I asked for a blanket was told they only had duvets. I was really looking for something for comfort but the thin bedding was minimal and not cozy at all.
