"Before you book a stay at this Hampton Inn, please do a Google review of this General Manager, James Hodges. His ego was on full display before I even arrived at the hotel, when I simply called to inquire about the courtesy shuttle and the ego never stopped. Any question came off as an inconvenience to his time. His night team reflects his poor personality. I have been using Hotels.com for over 15 years and have 80+ bookings with them. This is the first and only time I felt a need to reach out to them to let them know of the poor customer service we were receiving. Too many issues to mention, but here is one that will show you the type of person you can expect. On a shuttle ride to the train station with me and my family, GM James Hodges was our driver. As I always do anytime we get into a vehicle, I confirm with my two boys that they have buckled in. On this day when I asked, my 9 year old said he was having trouble buckling in. Most human drivers would have stopped to ensure everyone was buckled in, not this guy! He just kept on going. Luckily my son was able to get his seatbelt buckled shortly after saying he was having trouble. Just an fyi, the pool is closed and has been for months. PLEASE read the reviews on Google before booking this hotel. There are 2 other hotels in the same plaza for essentially the same price. You should not have to deal with this tyrant."

"The key access area would not unlock. I spent well over an hour with technical support, but they were not able to resolve and left me to find another place to stay at almost 9 pm. They have promised me a refund but so far I have received nothing."

"First the pros, good location, close to DC and national harbor. Free parking, clean room (have to make reservation to clean your room), nice staff. Now the bad, breakfast is horrible, bagels, coffee, and tea. That’s it. I’m not expecting a crazy breakfast but, not even pancakes? I booked this place specifically for breakfast for my kid. Wish they made it common knowledge that it was just bagels….. but other than that, good place to stay at."

"Cleaning stuff does not know how to clean properly and even after requesting cleaning repeatedly they would not clean the room properly or at all. In some cases the toilet flush had an issue from day one and in a 9-day stay they could not get it fixed. So stop at breakfast was quite rude as well. Only redeeming value was when complaint they did offer in the last two days to switch your new room, but at that point there's no value in us switching to in your room. So if you do take up that offer."

"Booked a wheelchair accessible room, was pretty spacious/clean shower isn't as accessible, valet was great overall would stay here again felt pretty safe. Staff is nice"
