"We just got back from a 5 day stay at Secrets Impressions. This place is really impressive with all of the quality pools and flora for whatever setting you want. Music at the main pool & bar, quiet settings if you want that, a lagoon pool that makes you feel like you're in a secluded cove of the islands. Great food at all restaurants! We would go back and wish we booked for longer. Thx Secrets!"

"First of all, it actually isn't the Grand Riveria Princess the Grand Riveria Princess is under construction. Here are the CONS in no particular order. Slippers and robes .... tiny. Fire it was, a seaweed smell, turned out to be sewage. Gross. Right next to the privilege section. People trying to sell us ad ons everywhere. They would keep asking if my daughter and I were a couple wanting romantic dinners and massages...gross. Plunge pool in the room needed a better filter. Lots of things floating in there. The bathtub was completely not connected to the floor and was loose.You could wobble it. There is no shelf in the shower to put soap or anything on and there are only two small trash cans in the room and two small tables small, meaning like twelve inches in diameter. Every time we needed to do something with our luggage.It was like we had to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out what they wanted us to do with our luggage.All we wanted to do is just take it to our room and take it from our room. People were having actual sex in public. Pointed it out to staff...I did not follow up on that. There is no place for new arrivals to wait or for people who are leaving to wait.So everyone is just kinda wandering around like zombies and the lobby. Arrival, if you're staying in the resort park, that is now closed is very clunky and awkward, and they don't really tell you what to do.You kind of have to figure it out. PROS. Lots of pool locations quiet or loud. "

"I had a wonderful time staying at The Reef 28. Overall, I truly enjoyed myself and would rate the experience a 10/10. One of the best things about this hotel is the location—it’s perfect for anyone who wants the best of both worlds. You’re fully immersed in the energy of the area, just steps away from Fifth Avenue. Depending on your room, you can even see Fifth Avenue right from your balcony, which adds to the experience. That said, your room choice really matters. Some rooms face a wall, and the patios in those suites are extremely small—barely enough space for two people. On the other hand, there are rooms with beautiful ocean-view balconies, which make a huge difference in how much you enjoy your stay. So I’d definitely recommend being intentional about the room you book. One thing that did bother me was the experience upon entering the hotel. You’re immediately approached by people who don’t actually work for the hotel but are there to sell excursions and investment opportunities. The approach feels very pushy—they try to get you to sit through presentations and upsell you on new resort developments. What made this more frustrating is that when you visit one of their sister properties in Playa del Carmen, the quality doesn’t quite match the sales pitch. It felt underwhelming in terms of maintenance and offerings compared to newer luxury resorts. Because of that, the aggressive push to invest felt misplaced. This was especially noticeable when I had friends visit. "

"overall the resort was okay , the rooms are old , the food wasnt good to be honest . the food was not fresh the dairy product were not refrigerated meat seem old. the menu was very limited. the services and staff are very friendly but thats about it . the resort is very big at least and the mildlife was beautiful to see. "
