"As with most hotels in Europe, air-conditioning is not something that exists or if it does generally does not work very well, so you should just understand this if it is going to be very hot during your stay. We ate at the hotel for dinner and it was excellent. We recommend the food there."

"Was a lovely place to stay, however we weren't aware that the hotel was not staffed after 1 pm on a Monday, also the restaurant was closed on Monday but they did suggest recommendations. The only other small but strange thing was the mini bar was communal in the outer Hall. Although we were self check in on the Monday, the staff we saw on the Tuesday were very helpful"

"Sehr schöne Lage! Zimmer war sehr groß und gut ausgestattet. Frühstück war recht reichhaltig. Nur leider wurden uns mitten beim frühstücken die Teller vor der Nase weggenommen, weil es hieß wir sollten uns bitte an einen anderen Tisch setzen. (ein anderes Paar ebenfalls) Der Tisch an dem wir saßen war nicht reserviert o.ä. Könnte man für die Zukunft dann besser beschriften oder bereits beim Eintreten kurz anmerken."

"Wow such a stunning location right on lake Luzern. We had lakefront room with balcony. Beautiful location about 15 minutes drive outside of downtown Luzern. It was too cold to use the pool but they have a nice relaxing wellness center with sauna. They have an outdoor hot tub but apparently you had to reserve in advance (which was not explained when we made reservation) so unfortunately we were not able to use. "I went to Engelberg for a restful weekend of walking and was very happy with my stay. From arrival to departure the ladies who operate the hotel were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great, and they are well stocked with comforts like snacks and wine (very fairly priced too!) for late night goodies. I would recommend them and hope to stay again another time."

"Great location amazing staff very clean I went during Jun and it was too hot and a lot of insects and mosquitoes so the hotel should provide at least fans for the rooms and put a mosquito nets on the balcony door so we can open it at night because no air conditions in this area not only in this hotel ."
