You could hear other people walking and in a few instances feel the building move from a heavy footfall,,I’m assuming. A bit unnerving late at night. Otherwise, an overall positive experience.

Our room was clean, quiet, and spacious. Staff was efficient and helpful. A minor problem was we had a dripping shower faucet, which couldn't get fixed when during our stay.

The hotel was overall clean and the staff was very polite. I want to emphasize that. The shower did not work the first day I was there and there weren’t any other rooms available. I was able to rig it to work but I’m not sure it was ever properly fixed as promised. The hotel had a large number of laborers and contractors staying there and the trucks took up an absurd amount of the parking and blocked the exits to the road. This is the only really bad stay I’ve had at a Holiday Inn Express. While the staff was very polite, I’m going to think twice before making it my preferred choice.

Flashing yellow light from the smoke alarm kept us awake. Bright flash every few seconds. We asked if the front desk could do anything and they said it was for everyone’s safety. Our room was also right across from the stairwell, and we could hear every time someone opened the door, very loudly. Very poor quality sleep both nights of our stay.

Front desk person wasn’t the kindest . For some reason I had issues with two different credit cards for incentives at the front desk. After I had already paid for the hotel room, we swiped one of my cards it was accepted, and then she claimed it was declined, although I could show her on my statement that the money was deducted, about 10 minutes later when I got to my room it was refunded. Also not my fault. They claim that this hotel is affiliated with the casino but it’s not anywhere near it.

Check in was easy. My king room was sufficiently clean and comfortable. I appreciate Holiday Inn Express providing the soap dispensers in the shower. I would encourage them to check the ironing boards in the rooms for needing new covers. There was something all over the one in my room so I didn’t use it and just wore a few wrinkles to my meeting. At breakfast they were out of biscuits, cinnamon rolls and forks. I asked the front desk about forks since two people were standing there, and they just said that they were out (unapologetically). I ate pancakes and bacon with a knife and a spoon. You would have thought with stores so close by they would have run out and bought some forks. Overall it was fine for a quick one night stay.
