For the $91 per night price, this was very good value. Indeed, the property is a mere 5 minutes from the port and train station, which is great. Also, there are good restaurants within a 15 to 20 minute walk. There is a decent full kitchen, although there appeared to be no way to make ice. Be aware that there are no en suite bathrooms, but the bathroom was always available to us, since the property was only about half full. However, only one of the two showers on the second floor where we stayed was functioning during our one-night stay.

It was very clean and convenient with easy acsess to both building and room. The only thing that was a bit hard was the lift of one big suitcase up the stairs. Would definitely recommend.

Pleasant rooms / toilet and bath most satisfactory . A big, comfortable kitchen for cooking or just having a snack. Everything was very clean. Also a small garden with some chairs (perhaps a couple more would be good.) Also offered an upgrade so that we (3 sisters) did not need to use the couch.

Monica and her staff bent over backwards to accommodate our early arrival. The weather was warm but the fan made the room comfortable

Although nothing the owners fault, they party next-door was very loud.I would think this was an infrequent issue. This would not stop me from staying here again

Stayed here for 4 nights recently while a family member was in hospital. Walking distance from the hospital about 40 mins and 20 mins to west quay with bus stops outside the property. Was able to check in earlier and out a little bit later free of charge from Monica who was very understanding about my situation. The room was lovely with a private bathroom, clean towels and bedding, teas and coffees available in the room. The only small issue i had was being by the front door and other guests slamming it as they came in. Other than that the place was a great little base for me to stay!

Self service so expected some instructions - couldnt get tv to work. Coffee, tea n sugar provided - no milk. Kettle supplied on shelf - no plug nearby. Low light - difficult to read. However good location, warn and clean - also cheap. :)

Place has a terrible smell

The place had an awful smell throughout the whole house. We stayed ontop and the smell was even worse. It was so cold that night that we slept with the windows open just because the smell was so terrible. There was no way to contact the people in charge to ask if we could stay in a late check out because check out was 10am and we were going on a cruise at 1pm and we didnt know what to do or where to go and we had to leave at 10am.

They said that it was sparkling clean but it was motel style. Very bad customer service. Very discomforting. I highly dont recommend.

Small renovated row house in suburbs No air conditioning . Room was way too hot in direct sunlight (June). Double glazed windows kept the road noise out when closed but had to be opened for even minimal ventilation. Property clean and very basic. Some way from cruise terminal and town attractions . Incredibly pricy compared to full service business hotels in town center.
