We only stayed one night on our way to Scotland & our daughter & family met us there to complete the journey . What was nice was that they were able to park & use the hotel for food / drinks etc . " I'm disappointed with our recent hotel experience. We booked a relaxing birthday trip for my wife, but the hotel was crowded with unmanaged children and noisy guests. The pool was unmonitored, and my wife was injured by a ball. The staff seemed overwhelmed and didn't manage the crowd effectively. "We asked for a late check out and even though the hotel was absolutely empty - (we were the only two people at breakfast in a room that could seat 100) the hotel still denied a late checkout (personally I think 11am checkout is too early) so we were charged an extra £20 for a 12pm checkout. When the room costs £500 per night this is totally outrageous. The hotel was empty so it would have been a nice gesture to offer a 1pm checkout given at most high end hotels 12pm is standard. Very...
