"This was the worst experience I have had at a hotel. Our room was 53 degrees when we arrived. To solve the issue power was cut to our room. There was no option for heat. The bathroom did not have a fan. The water ran in the shower when the water was turned off. The spray of the water in shower was inconsistent. The toilet did not work and it ran continuously. There was no ice available in the property. I was told the ice machine was not working. There were only 2 chairs available in the whole...

"Beautiful, historic property with a fabulous pool. But rooms desperately need an upgrade. They are dark, heavy, and way overstuffed with velvet and brocade, which is not what one wants in the tropics. The whole property looks like it could seriously use a deep cleaning."

"There's a hidden $26 per night "destination fee" charge that supposedly provides some basically useless benefits if you're on a one-night stay. The charge is not adequately noted beforehand, is not properly explained at checkin, and is mandatory. Once you arrive or make a non-refundable reservation, you're stuck."

"I loved the feel of the property. It’s gorgeous and located in a very nice neighborhood. They do have open areas and the noise can filter up to the rooms, but there was nothing late into the day. The reception personnel were friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was really cute. I wanted my server to be just a bit more attentive, but it was not poor service by any means.
