"The property is at a very calm place and has been running since 1650 which is amazing fact. The room I’ve stayed in was a attic converted into a room. The room and bed was good but felt a old smell which needs made it feel that it needs a room freshner across the rooms and houses. There was good and spacious car park and within 10-15 min drive from lot of English heritage sites. I would like to see a bottled water in rooms along with towels as it felt wrong to grab water from sink. The staff...

No one the front desk, asked the lady managing the bar she said she would be there in a bit, but in the meantime continued to serve new people coming up to the bar, cleaned multiple tables all the time whilst I was waiting just to check in. "What a lovely stay, we stayed in the print room which was the perfect size, very homely and welcoming, overlooking the market square. Communication with The Dial House Team was via WhatsApp, they responded straight away and were always happy to help. The location is perfect being 30 minutes drive from some great sights. "Staff were excellent and friendly. Pub was welcoming and inviting. Breakfast cooked to order and very nice. Now for the room. No5 a bit dated but spacious. Bed was very firm but could feel every spring in the mattress. Shower pressure abysmal and scalding to start. Had to use a lot of force just to get the dial round to get the cold water flowing and still low pressure. Some say adds character, I’d say it lacked comfort. "
