"The hotel is incredibly beautiful and was exactly as advertised when I first viewed their website a couple months ago when I booked. The view from our room was amazing. The staff were very helpful and helped us out with finding our way around and restaurants in the area. Breakfast was really good, especially the Eggs Royale (Scottish smoked salmon, yummy!). The only suggestion I’d have is to have a 2nd person helping out in the morning to help out with the breakfast crowd."

I don't like that they make you and all your guests scan your passport in to check in. Best part of our room was that we had a back entrance that led to parking. We were in room 25. "The Abbotsford guest house was run down and in need of renovations. Did not know before I booked I would be sharing a shower and toilet with the whole floor. Very uncomfortable! There was also no breakfast available. It said it was being remodeled. I actually never saw a host on my visit. The location was good, but the lodging was poor."

"One of the worst hotels I've ever booked. We received check in instructions via email while we were on our flight to Edinburgh. Upon arrival we had no idea how to get into the building. We tried calling with no success (although this was probably user error given I've never tried calling an international number). Other guests finally came out, let us into the building and told us to check our email for the checkin instructions. We were in a room on the 2nd floor and had to lug our bags up 4 or...
