"I stayed at Turing Locke Cambridge from 22–25 April 2026, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing—especially as this stay coincided with my birthday.
On arrival, we were given a room that was clearly not fit for use. The bathroom had a strong sewage smell and the sink would not drain, making it feel unsanitary and uncomfortable. We reported this straight away but were told other guests were having the same issue, so no alternative room was available that night. As a result, we had to spend our first night in substandard conditions.
Although a staff member was helpful and tried to assist, we were only moved to a different room the following day after having to repeatedly push for it. This significantly affected our stay.
What made things worse was the lack of support afterwards. When I raised a complaint with Turing Locke, there was no compensation offered, and the response I received was clearly a mix of copy-and-paste sections that failed to properly address my claim. It even referenced a complaint about a fire alarm—something I never mentioned at any point—which made it obvious my case hadn’t been genuinely reviewed or considered.
Overall, I would advise others to be cautious. While the property may appear appealing, this experience suggests that when things go wrong, they are not handled to an acceptable standard."
