"Outside and inside the hotel was very clean. Room was clean and very modern looking. Beds were very comfortable and bathroom was veey nice. I like the small area in the lobby where you could purchase all kinds of snacks and many travel necessities you may have forgotten at home. I will stay here again when Im in Victoria next. "

The outside is deceptive, not having great curb appeal, but the rooms are modern and spotless with comfortable beds, good quality sheets, and large tvs. The staff are pleasant and efficient, breakfast is adequate, and amenities include a pool table, e-bikes and kayaks. Location is good and price can't be beat!"

"Beautiful rural location, quiet, peaceful, and private. Hot tub was clean warm and secluded wonderful view of wild deer roaming property as you soak in hot tub. Easy access to downtown Victoria and all the city has to offer. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Would not hesitate to book this wonderful BnB again. "Our room was a very nice, clean, spacious and very comfortable. The tub was jetted and the shower was amazing!! Heritage house room 5 had a sweet balcony too which was a nice enjoyable addition. The extra free treats provided were an added bonus for our stay: flight of spinnakers beer, delectable chocolates and discount coupon for breakfast. The brewers breakfast was fantastic! Thanks for a relaxing weekend getaway. "

"I very much enjoyed my stay at the james bay inn staff was friendly courteous and very personable. Location was excellent with museum, harbour, beacon hill park all within walking distance. The food here was good as well and a very cozy little pub. I would stay here again"

"The room was spotless. The staff were extremely friendly. Nice and quiet room. I did ask you for a refund for the last night and you said you would call the hotel and ask me to wait on the line, after 30 min. approx we were disconnected. I spoke with the desk and they told me you called and they would refund the last night. I don't have that refund on my card."

"Historic building. The pool/change rooms are beautiful. The gym is fairly well equipped although small. Did not have time to go to the newly renovated Bengal for breakfast but it looks GORGEOUS. Amazing views, perfect location, hard not to want to stay here."

Cozy old-school pub in the basement with great beef burgers at bizarrely reasonable prices. Also attached hip diner but unfortunately don't open till 8am. Best yet: affordable pricing! Only downside: not a walkable destination."
