"My husband, son, his gf and I flew to Boston to drop our son off for college and decided to make the early (1am) morning drive to the Bronx to watch a Yankee game. "The reception desk and staff were excellent. But for being an "upscale" hotel, only one of a very few viable options if you are visiting Columbia University, I found basic amenities to be sorely lacking. There are no drinking glasses in the rooms (only coffee cups). There are no ice machines anywhere in the hotel so you have to ask the bartender to get you the ice and a plastic cup if you want to drink water or other liquid. The coffee cups wither with moisture.
