"Comparing to other accommodation in the area, I can not recommend this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful but I found the room extremely basic, very cold. No telephone in the room. The bathroom door and bedside table drawers were visibly crooked. The a/c unit dirty. The room had a lot of noise from both the road traffic, people arriving to the hotel and groups gathering to talk loudly. I wish I paid more to stay elsewhere"

"This accommodation was a surprise on the out side it was a bit old looking but in the inside the rooms have been modernized nice good size bathroom nice bed very comfortable quite area with lots of food options and was close to the Ellerslie area that why we stayed there . The stuff was nice and friendly with easy checkin only think I would fault was the walls are a bit thin your could hear people talking in the next room apart from that was a nice stay."

"Lovely old home converted into a home away from home. Don't expect all the latest mod-cons but the basics are there. Large rooms, nice bathrooms and a well stocked shared kitchen. Aachen House would be wonderful for larger groups or families looking to stay together. Surprisingly quiet for a large home with lots of comings and goings, we look forward to visiting again at some point in the future!!"
