"Great location for visiting Chartwell, Hever Castle and other NT properties. Able to park in rear car park each night.
No air conditioning but Dyson fan in room. Also Sipsmith sloe gin in room and resident lounge.
Excellent food at dinner but marred by noise from kitchen- we could hear staff shouting at each other.
Breakfast variable-full English great but coconut French toast inedible and ham Benedict only had half a muffin."

"We would have rated the Castle excellent if we had slept better, but having a room on the busy main road made that difficult…we could imagine that another back room was much quieter. But the atmosphere was nice and both dinner and breakfast freshly cooked and well-presented were all enjoyable."

"I booked a two-night birthday stay with my niece. The grounds and main property are lovely, and the staff were generally pleasant, but unfortunately the room and overall experience were very disappointing.
Our room faced directly onto a flat roof, fencing and overgrown vegetation, which made it feel enclosed. I asked to move on the first day but was told there were no rooms available because the hotel was fully booked due to a wedding.
