"Nice little hotel not far from downtown. I recommend it highly because they have a free shuttle that runs downtown and back. Nice clean rooms"

"Very disappointed with my stay at MotorCity Casino Hotel. For a hotel advertised as 4-star quality, the cleanliness and guest experience fell far below expectations. The room had visible stains on the curtains, dirt and debris buildup around the floors and corners, and overall looked poorly maintained. What made it worse was the response from staff. Offering to clean the room an hour before checkout is not an actual remedy when the issue existed the entire stay. There was also no clock in the room, which seems like a basic hotel amenity, and no one informed me about the room credits available to guests until I specifically asked — by then it was too late to even use them. The casino itself has a nice atmosphere, but the hotel side seriously needs improvement in housekeeping, communication, and customer service. For the price and reputation, I expected so much better."

"Enjoyed my stay at Trumbull and Porter. Only a few comments: 1. Staff was very friendly and nice. Check-in and check-out were smooth. Every employee we passed by in the halls greeted us. 2. Location is great. Within walking distances to restaurants, Michigan Central, etc. 3. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the bar, but it looked nice. Will definitely try next time. 4. Our room had a trolley with fresh towels. However, the trolley had some dust. Not a huge issue; I just cleaned the trolley myself. 5. Our room ran out of hot water in the morning. We called reception and they were very apologetic and said they would check the water heaters for issues. We never received a call back to close the inquiry, but we didn't have issues with hot water later at night or the following morning."

Hotel Houze Detroit Downtown

"We are here for a conference held in Huntington Place. The location is perfect for airport shuttle. The stop is right in front of the hotel and shuttle only costs $6. It is also walking distance to the downtown with a lot of restaurants. First floor has a deli shop for some basic groceries."
