"Wish I had known about the midge bugs hatching season in advance. It was epically gross with those tiny bugs inside and outside the cabin as well as around the rides on 1/2 the island. I feel like I should have gotten a discount for dealing with all that. Also, people should know there are no plates, utensils, dish soap, cleaning products, etc so you need to bring in everything. Nobody is coming to clean like they would in a hotel room. We had ants as well so it would have been nice to have some small supplies on hand to properly sanitize the cabin eating and food prep areas."

"Half our room didn’t work and the staff tried to tell us we were wrong. The worst part was there were bed bugs and the management didn’t want to help us. They offered us $6 for laundry for four people and that was only after we continued to complain about it. Their initial response was just to make us check out and leave early and only give us a refund for the one night we stayed. Would not recommend this place to anymore."

"Very disappointing experience from the moment we arrived. The self-check-in kiosks were not working for me and several other guests, which created a long line. To make matters worse, there was only one employee handling check-ins, so it took an unreasonably long time just to get our room. Unfortunately, things did not improve after check-in. The room had a noticeable bad odor, and when we checked the bunk beds, there were old chips and debris underneath the mattress that looked like they had been there for a very long time. The cleanliness and overall upkeep were far below what I would expect from a family resort. The water park itself was also underwhelming and poorly maintained compared to other indoor water parks we have visited. For nearly $500 per night, the value simply is not there. The 4.2-star rating completely fooled me. Between the long check-in wait, lack of cleanliness, and disappointing facilities, this was one of the worst resort and water park experiences we’ve had. I would not stay here again, especially at this price point."

"The hotel's selling feature is that is it within the Cedar Point amusement park. This is true, but finding or being directed to the road that takes you to the hotel was somewhat challenging to find. All groups within our party had an issue with this and the signage that does exist is after you are past the tollbooths to the parking lot. Our hotel room was clean and comfortable. The staff in the TGI Friday's were friendly and bartenders Michael, Nick, and Abby were happy to learn about how a martini can be served bruised or to make it skate. Staying here also provides access to Cedar Point 1 hour earlier than non-guests which does help on getting on a ride or 2 prior to the park's official opening."

"We checked into room 204. As I was reading in bed, I saw a bed bug crawl toward me on the bed sheet. I killed it, put it into a tissue, and took it to the front desk. The motel staff were incredibly kind and responsive, and they moved us into another room. We checked the beds in the new room and saw no evidence of bed bugs, so we spent the night there. The mattresses were uncomfortable; old and with low spots on both sides of the bed. I had to sleep in the middle of the bed just to find a flat section of mattress. Breakfast was good, and the breakfast staff was great."
