"Very good value for money. Initially a bit apprehensive as I was staying alone with teenage son and our room was right at the entrance to the bar on the ground floor. It felt very safe though - staff and locals using the bar were all very friendly and there were no problems with noise at all. Clean and comfortable room too. The bar area has a nice atmosphere too. It was quiet enough during the day to sit in a corner and work off my laptop (great coffee served!) and then busier at night where we enjoyed a drink and game of pool."

"I travelled with my daughter and 2 grandson both of which have serious allergies however the staff took our requests very seriously and we were made to feel safe with the food that was served to them. A very special shout out to Matt in the bar and Julie (restaurant manager?) on breakfast. Will definitely be coming back."

"We stayed at the Hotel Du Vin on our wedding night. We checked in online which was a very quick and simple process. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a suitcase which we wanted to take to the hotel prior to checking in. This was absolutely no problem and as our room was ready, we were able to take the case to our room far in advance of normal check in time. When we returned to our room, a bottle of bubbly had been provided which was a lovely touch and gratefully received. Breakfast the next morning was fabulous with an excellent choice on the menu. Again, the staff were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We would highly recommend this establishment any time."
