Really disappointing experience at Embankment Kitchen.
Despite booking a table in advance, we were left waiting far too long. When we arrived, several staff members were clearly present but nobody acknowledged us or even said, “we’ll be with you shortly.” We were simply left standing there wondering what was going on.
Service throughout was extremely slow and disorganised. There appeared to be very little communication between staff, which showed in the lack of coordination and attention. When we tried to raise concerns, the response felt dismissive and at times argumentative, rather than solution focused. The overall attitude came across as not particularly bothered about the customer experience.
To make matters worse, a teenager in our group was served what looked like a small children’s portion, which was frustrating given the prices being charged.
Overall, poor service, long waits despite booking, lack of attention, and an unwelcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, not somewhere we would return to.
