The sauna and cafe were not available during our stay at the end of March. The location is a pretty far walk to the lake but the staff was really nice and helpful. "I appreciated the linens and room was fine. typical dated small resort with limited desk staff hours but a good value. the hot tubs were the kind you have at home and the pool was not heated so the pool was not used. sauna and steam room appeared unused and not inviting. location is outside the main town without direct lake access. with a car it was easy to get around so saving a few bucks here is fine. I would have dined in but the restaurant didn't seem to have much use and the prices were...

"The room was a great setup for a family with a separate kids room away from the main living area and bedroom. Kitchen was well equipped. YouTube on the tv was helpful with the kids. Bathroom spotless and nice tub. Alpacas, a sheep and bunnies were on the property and the owner gives you food you can hand feed them. Great playground and grassy area for kids to play on. Really friendly and helpful owner!"

"Nice location a few km out of Rotorua. The park-like grounds are a bit odd with the Alice in Wonderland themed art, but peaceful and with nice views of the lake in the distance. The rooms are well appointed but have zero soundproofing: you will hear your neighbors snore and chat, and doors are so flimsy you hear everything going on in the common areas.
