"The room was great. Staff was very accommodating as we were checking in early and our room was all ready. When we came in at night there were a bunch of kids and adults in the breakfast room. I thought it was going to be noisy but at 11pm all was quiet and we never heard a sound until 8am (and I’m a light sleeper.)
The one thing I would like to see is more accessible plug ins in all rooms. We had to move the bed to reach an outlet for my phone, and it was inside a cut out hole in the drywall. No faceplate because it was inside too far. It did work and there weren’t any issues with it. Just inconvenient. Breakfast was good except we wanted stronger coffee. "
"Friendly staff and great location. Quite dated with old carpets and door locks that didn’t ever work the first try, but comfortable beds. They need to figure out or improve the radiator situation - I’m not sure if the temperature is lowered when the rooms aren’t in use, but the first night it was so loud it was impossible to sleep through. Fortunately the second night was quieter, but the third night I could hear a similar noise from an adjacent room. Adjusting the thermostat made no difference on the very high temperature. Although not fully the fault of the hotel, someone smoked something rank in a room beside me and it all came through the vents/door and stunk up my room severely. "
"we were very happy the staff allowed us to upgrade after we noticed the room we had was too small for our family. However, the condition of the property is not what we expected. I could hear word for word from the next room, so no soundproof walls at all. Not ideal when you just want a good night sleep. Food from the Moxies was not the best tbh. First night they also got one of our orders wrong and the excuse given was terrible. The rooms smell awful, not sure if some people have smoked in these rooms or carpets aren’t cleaned thoroughly sometimes but there was a bit of a smell at all times which can be very annoying. I guess if you just want something affordable and don’t care much about the comfort and noise you’re good."
