"The decor was the most vintage chic we’d ever seen . The views from the hotel room were breathtaking. But !!!! THE BREAKFAST IS BY FAR THE BEST THING EVER. The freshest most delicious bread, fruits, yogurt station , eggs and bacon , lox all types of cheese and coffee with a delicious cappuccino. . . Perfect way to get the day started and hike ."

"Upon arrival on the Thursday, we were informed that the pool, sauna, jacuzzi etc were closed for renovation. We were not informed of this at any point during booking/prior to arrival. However we were assured we’d be able to use a local rival hotel’s facilities on Saturday and Sunday. We were unable to use them at all on Thursday or Friday. On the Saturday morning, we were informed that as we were not a “priority customer”, we were only able to use the facilities at Park Hotel until 3PM....

"It is too far walking from train station. Bus not operating due to construction for a week. Even bus is operating, you still need to walk uphill about 500 m . We have to walk uphill for about 20 mins. I would suggest to stay in Grindelwald ( nice view ) or Interlaken area. They picked us up but their rate is not standardized, depends on the receptionist. "Once again, our stay at the Belvedere Strand Hotel in Spiez was beyond top class. Meals were exquisite, restaurant staff delightful, attentive & informative. Reception staff went above and beyond to help us out in a difficulty & always greeted us with a smile. The grounds were delightful and the views to the castle & harbour a joy to behold.
