"The hotel was clean, staff was nice and breakfast looked really good"

"The hotel lobby and rooms look just like the photos. Nicely designed for photography. However, it's poorly designed for actual people. If you're the type of person who enjoys sitting in a metal trash can while random people whack it with an aluminum bat, this is the place for you. The compliant fire doors on every room slam shut, no matter how hard you try to do it quietly. If a neighbor has a visitor that knocks on their door, you feel it in the floor or walls. You can hear conversations...

"I have used the Cherry Valley Lodge, now the Cherry Valley hotel for several years. The hotel must be suffering from the lack of capital as the parking lot, sidewalks desperately need work, there are plants, weeds, or small trees, growing in some of the gutters at the top of the roof. I am told that food service is not that great. At one time the food was quite good. I had breakfast there three times and the food was filling and it was buffet style so I can’t really share much about the food....

"The staff was incredibly kind, and helpful. The room was freshly cleaned. They even went out of their way to help jump my car when it died and I really appreciate that."

"There were blood stsins on the sheets, food in the fridge, human and pet hair on the floor and sheets. The sprinkler was encased in hair and dust. We did not stay and went elsewhere."

"The room was filthy, everything was sticky, splattered coffee on the walls from who knows how long. The front desk was made aware upon immediate appraisal of room, and nothing was done to rectify. The towels were stained, but "smelled" clean. There was no pride in the establishment to have things clean."

"The lightbulbs are low wattage. Bring some of your own to make seeing easier. also bring your own soap and shampoo / there are 3 pump bottles attached to the shower wall , who knows what they have gone thru. would have liked a recliner chair in the room instead of an odd shaped chair. room was clean / plenty of hot water and the ice machine worked well. Room was quiet."

"Rooms are small and outdated. It’s a great location to the quant town, however the beds are uncomfortable, pillows lack definition and honestly expected better for it being such a popular spot"

"Great place well thought out and fully stocked Kitchen. We stayed to visit Dennison for one of children and 555 was a short walk to campus and to town with many dinning options. We were even visited by a deer which a bonus."

"Great stay in the Guest House for our family while visiting student at Denison. Wonderful screened in porch and backyard. Highly recommend for any short or long term stay in Granville."
