  • Q Square mall-- not exactly a tourist destination (there are many malls in Taipei) but it's a nice mall located close to Taipei Main station (Metro/MRT) if you're looking to escape the heat. Huge food courts here too with lots of options (and obviously shopping). This mall also has a movie theatre, which shows mostly American movies (but cheaper). It's also about a 10-15 walk to the historic Dihua street, one of the oldest areas of the city which was once the main market area (still lots of interesting shops there that cater to the local...good photo opps too with some older buildings)

Great location near many restaurants and stores. Easy check in, staff English speaking and helpful. Taipei train to airport is at nearby end of Taipei main train station, but local metro is on the far end of the station. Room was clean, modern, bed very comfortable. Nice view.

Everything was nice except there was always smell of cigarettes smoke in the room, sometimes not so bad but most times hard to bear (I may be sensitive to cigarettes smoke), and there was no soundproofing at all so I had trouble falling asleep at night. But all in all, I was satisfied with the hotel.

Value for money accommodation

Was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the daily cleaning, daily changing of towels and daily replenishment of drinking water. The hotel is conveniently located to food stalls, huge Q square mall, convenience stores and most specially to the Taipei Main Station. The staff were helpful and friendly. The only minus is the TV has no English channels/shows.
