"If you're going to see the city and need a safe and clean space to sleep and change, this place is it! It's so close to everything and so affordable! Time Square is less than a block away, but this location is on a side street so not super busy with car or foot traffic. Staff was wonderful and made our trip amazing. "
"I loved this hotel, modern and a nice high ceiling with the bunk beds. It was roomy enough for two people doing some weekend traveling. We loved the area too, it was close to everything and right on the same street as the port authority too. "
"Fantastic customer service from all the staff. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant, friendly and helpful. FYI: you can check bags if you arrive early/staying late after check out, but it costs $3 per bag and it's CASH ONLY, so have some cash with you to check bags. Probably the "largest" King room I've ever stayed in in NYC for the money ($247 average a night). My only real complaint was our window unit AC. It worked, but would freeze you during the night since it blows cold air directly at the bed. You couldn't pull the privacy screen down on the window because then it covered up the AC and you got no cold air at all. A little frustrating because I like a dark room to sleep, but we couldn't pull the shade down to make it dark or the room got too warm. GREAT elevator service and the hotel was packed ( it was NY fashion week and the hotel is adjacent to Sony Hall where a lot of events are staged so ALL the NYFW staff at Sony Hall were staying at this hotel). Never waited more than 30-45 seconds on an elevator. No kidding! 46th st in front of the hotel is a nightmare for transportation since there are several Broadway theaters in that block between 8th and 9th, so be aware. I travel to NYC for theater and great food (1 block down 46th street is Restaurant Row, you could literally go NO WHERE else to eat and get almost any type of food you wanted.) and I would definitely stay here again, just in a room without a window AC unit! 😜"
"Everything about this hotel was amazing! The structure, and the location could not be any better. Only a few feet away from everything. Not to mention how beautiful and spectacular the Cathedral view rooms are. 10/10!"
"Hotels.com showed an awesome picture of a room at The Manhattan on Times Square and I booked that room. When we checked in, we were given a terrible room. It was old, dark, and needed a serious renovation. I was shocked and went to the front desk to plead my case. I was told I booked a standard king room which meant I was getting the unrenovated space. If I wanted the one in the picture from Hotels.com, I had to book a premium room which were all sold out for the night. After pleading with the front desk staff, she spoke with the manager and we were moved to a nice room with 2 queens instead of a king. Our anniversary trip started out very rough and I’m upset with Hotels.com for the deceitful advertising because at 500 dollars a night, I should not be given a room that would have failed inspection at a hotel 6! Thankfully the hotel staff made amends and we had a great time in NYC. Beware of Hotels.com bait and switch booking tactics!"
