"We lived this quirky Mtn hotel. A collection of various cabins, containers, tents, grand old trees, beautiful gardens in a farm setting complete with donkey! Beautiful views across the mountains. Loved the local community vibe as well. Breakfast was very tasty in a lovely setting. The only negatives were beds are very firm, be prepared and the room had a huge tub, but not enough hot water to even fill it 1/4 full. Still, would stay here again for the idyllic setting. "I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at the Observatory Lodge and Glamping. The dome was so unique with beautiful views but they were clean, furnished beautifully and the amenities were modern. It is truly a family business and the property is clearly cared for with love. "Property is fantastic beautiful views and view of small waterfall. Walk around property and enjoy the nature, river, waterfall. Property manager on site was super friendly and helpful. Three story type house. Kids loved the bunk at the top. Easy walk to town for food and groceries. We stopped here between drive from SJO and La fortune and stayed one night then went to blue falls great stop!! "

"Inserted in the tropical cloud forest, this place is magic. The Toro Amarillo river taints the stones orange and gives a constant roaring, the congos haul to contrast with the crickets and cicada's background rhythm. But most of the healing comes from the hot, yellowish mineral spring water pool, alternating with the very cold, crystal clear spring water. While the cabins are rustic, the staff are all wonderful. "The location was beautiful. The rooms are VERY large. I was not aware that the room did not have a/c or fan (but I did not read the details, I just assumed it did because of the pricing) the weather was not super hot this day so it was ok, but on a warmer day it definetly needs it, also no TV at least in our room, the bathroom had some leaking in the shower. The beds and pillows were ok. Maybe we just assumed beacuse of the price that it would be a little more premium. But the experience was Ok...
