"Amazing hotel. We had a suite that overlooked the lake and city and had a spa tub on the balcony! It was well worth the extra price to wake up and see the sun highlighting the lake and a wonderful view of the mountains. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating to all our needs. A short walk from restaurants, bars, shops, and train station. This was a great place to stay!!"

"Des Alpes has a great location,by the river and close to the train station. Staff were excellent, very helpful all the time. The attached restaurant had great service and food. The problem I had is that the hotel has no AC (historic structure and all that). That was not clear when I booked, otherwise I probably would have gone with a different hotel. Also, the room was at the top level, and the attic room had little headroom for about half of the room. Quaint but a problem for a tall person. I...

"I didn't realize this place is not staffed, so that was our only issue when arriving at 10am after an overnight flight with no place to store luggage. A really helpful guy at the plant store next door told us there would be a code to let us in, etc., but with no one to talk to and no way to call due to our limited data plan, it took us awhile to figure it out. If you need to store luggage, there's a luggage storage place inside a jewelry store just a few min walk away (look up Radical Storage)...

"We absolutely loved everything about this apartment. The location is extremely convenient and the city views from inside the apartment (especially the view of the church) was beautiful. A lot of space for our family to stretch out , we traveled with two teenage girls and it was nice for them to each have their own bedroom. The rooftop patio was our favorite feature as you enjoy panoramic views of Lucerne. Hands down the best experience. Highly recommend. Communication with the host was...

"A nice little place to stay! Don’t worry about the distance from the main area. It’s a very quick and easy bus ride with a stop right outside the hotel, or a nice walk along the lake, and we enjoyed being away from the centre. The hotel was very quiet, clean, and self check-in very simple and quick. There are some nice touches, like drinks in the fridge and coffee/kettle all included, which we didn’t find anywhere else in Switzerland."
