"I stayed at a Motel 6 near Pismo Beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the property itself is very rundown. There were broken or missing fixtures, a loose bathroom vent, and an awkward shower setup with a curtain that constantly stuck to me. Many of the outdoor curtains were also damaged, making the place feel poorly maintained. The location is convenient, but the condition doesn’t match the price. Overall, great staff but the property needs serious improvement."

"This hotel is right at the Pier parking lot. Three reasons why I could not give it a 5, even though the place is nice and the people friendly. 1) $100 PER DAY put on your credit card for incidentals. So stay a week, get $700 put on it. 2) Ad says " valet parking available". It is the ONLY parking available unless you can find a place on the street, and move your car before the meters go live. Valet parking is $30 per day PLUS tips, so if you go in and out a couple times and tip $5, you may be out $50 a day. That's $250 if you stay a week... 3) Noisiest place I have ever stayed. If you get a room in the back with no view, no sense staying there. If you get the ocean view rooms, the rooms on the 1st floor are 10 feet away from the huge pier parking lot, with loud Harleys, noisy lifted trucks, Mustangs revving their engines, idiots playing their stereo at full volume, people arguing about parking fees, etc. If you are unlucky enough to get one of the 21 rooms that face the main street downtown, you will be woken up at 4:30am with garbage trucks picking up trash, restaurant delivery trucks rolling kegs down the sidewalk, etc. Unbelievable amount of noise. Other than that the rooms were nice, beds comfy, staff helpful and friendly. But my god, the noise at night..."

"The property was nicely laid out with multiple sitting areas. The coastal access was wonderful. Ample parking, large variety of breakfast items, fresh baked cookies and 24/7 tea and coffee service were lovely."

"I booked this room as a treat for a dear friend visiting from out of town, drawn in by the "exceptional" reviews and the great location. Unfortunately, the stay left us asking: exceptional for whom? The location truly is a highlight — but that's where the positives end. For the rate paid, we expected a comfortable, well-maintained room. What we got felt closer to a budget motel experience. The ventilation was noticeably poor, resulting in an unpleasant odor and condensation collecting on the windows. The water pressure was also disappointing — barely adequate for a basic shower. If you have modest expectations, you may not be bothered. But if you're booking this as a special occasion stay or expecting the quality the price point implies, look elsewhere. I wish someone had told me that before I booked."

"Overall, I would say it was comfortable stay and the location has easy access to freeway and to the beach. We did have issue with our toilet but it was taken care of on the same day."

"This was a great alternative to staying in Pismo Beach. It was minutes away and saved us some money. The location was right off the freeway making it easy to get into town. The room was clean and spacious as we have come to enjoy of The Hampton Inn chain. We have never had a bad experience when staying with them. "
