"If you are planning a stay at Poipu, stay at Ko’a Kea. It is a small boutique property but experienced enough to provide great service, grounds and food. The property was well maintained and clean. It is right at the oceanfront and our room faced it, just steps away. Everything we ate and drank from the bar menu and Red Salt was superb. There are a some things that could be improved that are not Hurricane Lowell related. The bathroom and shower could use updated tile and trim and a double sink....

"⭐ Beware of Hidden Fees – $593 in Unexpected Charges!
Be very careful when booking this property! We were shocked to discover $593 in additional charges at check-in, including a $250 cleaning fee, a $79 damage waiver fee, and a $100 amenity fee, plus taxes. These charges were not clearly disclosed upfront.
To make matters worse, the property was not even properly cleaned! For a $250 cleaning fee, you would expect the place to be spotless.
Paying an additional $593 on top of the advertised...

We had the absolute best stay at Hale Hokuala Kauai! The hotel is absolutely breathtaking, extremely clean, peaceful, and secluded, making it feel like your own little paradise.
