"Tico Tico was the ideal place for our two-week stay while we attended Spanish School in Quepos. We stayed in villa #12 which was exactly as shown in the photos. It was spacious, clean, and had a great open, modern aesthetic. And A/C!!! Having the kitchen was fantastic. We used the stove every day to cook eggs for breakfasts, and when we didn't want to eat out for lunch and dinner, we made sandwiches and salads. They even provided a hot water kettle so we could make coffee and tea.

"When you arrive they have wifi available to call staff/Michael who will check you in, staff is not onsite. It's a quiet private area, I recommend going to the free breakfast 6:30am-9:00am it's walking distance to Zen Zauro and you can request room service, I had room service everyday for the 6 days/5 nights we were there, had clean towels and clean sheets and cleaned bathroom and floors. "Beautiful property, great staff, spectacular pool area with a view. If your looking a beach day, I would drive 5 minutes to playa Espillida, the private beach on the resort is small and rocky. Barely any sand."

"Unbelievably great place! My husband and I came to fish from the Pez Vela Marina, and Mar y Sombra was the perfect location to stay! The view was beautiful from up on the hill - you can see the marina and the beach and watch surfers and others enjoy the water. Every night we got to watch the sunset from our balcony!
The Quepos/Manuel Antonio area is pretty small, so it was both close to town and just a few minutes to the nature park and bigger restaurants. Obviously super close to the marina!...
