"The views from the restaurant are stunning. We split our trip between the beach and volcano so we had a 4 night stay at Gaia for the beach and a 4 night stay at Nayara Springs. Check in at the hotel was easy. You park or get dropped off at the security area (also where the gym is) and then a golf cart takes you up to the main building where the reception area is and the restaurant. The spa is downstairs and the reception/restaurant are upstairs. Unfortunately the Sky Lounge was closed during our stay. We received a refreshing non-alcoholic welcome drink. Everything about our stay was explained to us. We booked the Suite. Our room was large and nice but the description said ocean view and there was definitely not an ocean view so that was a bit of a disappointment. If you like seclusion and very little interaction with others, you would probably love this hotel. There was not a common area to have a drink and watch the World Cup. The grounds are large but mostly jungle and the hotel seems very small. The pools were also pretty small, we usually swim in pools and decided to swim at the beach instead. I didn’t see anyone in the pools during our stay. There is a swim up bar. The beach is not in walking distance. For the beach, you have to let your concierge know. Beach shuttles leave on the hour and return 15 minutes after the hour. The beach was wonderful and clean. Warm water and great waves. It’s $10 for chairs for the day. The concierge was very helpful throughout our stay."

"Excellent location to stay by the beach and close to Manuel Antonio National Park. Everything about this hotel was great. Walking distance to multiple restaurants. Good parking space. Very kind and helpful staff that goes above and beyond to make you feel happy and comfortable. Breakfast is delicious. The amenities were in excellent shape, pools were always clean. Rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. Grateful to the staff. They are the best! Will definitely go again!"

"Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. We especially appreciated the breakfast staff member. He was consistently friendly and warm, and the chefs for both breakfast and dinner—everything was exceptional, including a homemade blue cheese dressing that was outstanding. The breakfast potatoes were absolutely delicious. I was also very grateful for the front desk team’s help on 6/17. I was feeling stressed because I couldn’t figure out how to purchase tickets for Manuel Antonio National Park, since they can’t be bought at the gate. I couldn’t complete the checkout process on my own, but the front desk employee patiently assisted me and made everything so much easier. I truly appreciated the support."

"Great views. Monkeys, toucans, and macaws seen right from our balcony! Steep road to the entrance with literally 4-5 parking spots at the top. You can park at the bottom and ride the golf cart up. Buffet breakfast was good. Activities and grounds (fountains, ect)were, Im assuming, shut down for maintenance."

"This is our second stay at this hotel. I would come back every year if I could. It is a smaller boutique hotel, which is perfect. The pool is refreshing and lovely. The room is clean and spacious. It has been updated since we were last year five years ago. It is in the perfect location, walkable to restaurants, shops beaches."
