"Excellent property, right next to the train and bus stations, perfect for day trips based in Takayama. The room is spacious with kicken, large refrigerator, micorwave oven and washer/dryer unit (detergent provided). Also it has seperate shower, toilet and sink rooms, plus a large balcony. The hotel offers free vouches to use the onsen in a nearby hotel(we used the private onsen there everyday without any waiting). Highly recommended!"

"This is a very lovely hotel in downtown Takayama. We were staying here for one night coming from Kusatsu. We had some issues with the GPS so were going to be late for dinner, we called them and they said they would hold dinner for us no issues. We had the Hida beef dinner which was fantastic. The breakfast the next morning was also fantastic. The room had a nice view of the river and we left the door open all night without any noise. Most of the town closes down at 6pm but opens back up at 8am....

"Absolutely exquisite stay! Everything was perfection - from the check in with green tea, to the delicious Japanese style breakfast, to the friendly and attentive staff. This stay comes with so many extra amenities such as free yamata rental, complimentary sake, public baths etc. Also excellently located close to the station. "This was my favorite accommodation in Japan. It was very cozy and made me feel home. We had the Sennari room. There were 4 beds in two rooms but we only used two. There was a microwave, fridge, kitchen sink with dishes/soap, washer/dryer, kitchen table, sofa. It was two levels with bedrooms upstairs. We never saw our host. It was self check in with a code. "Rooms are well equipped with charging ports by the bedside and kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cooking equipment. Shower area is pretty tight but the toilet is kept separate which is good if you have someone showering and another person needing to use the toilet. "
