"Beautiful place to stay. The highlight is the breakfast prepared by a chef, and the lovely deer that were grazing outside. It’s also a short walk up the street to the lieutenant governor’s residence with the lovely walking trails and Craigdarroch castle."

"Spacious suites equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay including a balcony. Bathrobes also a nice touch. Had an issue with room cleaning being forgotten. We ate in restaurant twice for breakfast and once for happy hour drinks plus food. Only issue were the poached eggs which were sent back 3 times. Our server was very busy in each visit but did a great job."

"The windows in our room were so dirty that it was hard to see the view. The rug was thread bear and had a hole that had been poorly repaired with the rug pad showing through . The gardens may have been lovely in years gone by but clearly aren’t getting any attention now. For almost $400 Canadian/ night I would expect more attention to detail and care for this beautiful old home. I won’t return"

"This was the perfect hotel for us. The services were very good. The AC worked very well, both in temperature control and speed. The previous hotel had a one speed fan, high and very noisy. So this was a huge relief. The comfort made up for the aging of the carpet and furniture. No biggy for me."

"We stayed in a room outside of the house. We did not get to experience the beauty on the inside other than eating a very good breakfast in the front room. Our room was muggy and not very nice. Would we stay here again… probably not. Beautiful home, would have a better experience if we stayed inside the home."
