"Room was spacious and clean I had a double king room with sofa/bed Staff very helpful, breakfast was excellent good choice I had traditional cooked English breakfast Overall a very enjoyable stay"

"We needed a place close to Stoke for an event we were all attending with friends. This place was perfect for the 6 of us that stayed there. The hours is very large, with a large kitchen and all amenities. We did not use the TV, so unsure of that function and options. It was nice to have 2 full bathrooms. There is a large fenced back yard where kids could play."

"Customer service was brilliant at front desk. I asked if I could check in early after a 4 hr drive at 12 and staff was very accommodating. Room had all the necessary amenities and what I liked was it had an ironing board and iron. The room smelt of paint as may have been recently refurbished. Paid for parking at front desk as it was cheaper then paying at machine. Location is excellent. Thank you to the staff for making my stay a pleasant one."

"Selected Wheatsheaf based on location travelling from Scotland to South Coast. We're told at reception that the room was up 2 flight of stairs but it would be worth it, Walking into room 12 our breath was taken away, it was definitely worth the climb. Dinner that evening and breakfast next morning we're excellent. Will definitely be back. Jim and Lorna"

"We enjoyed our stay at The Upper House. It's a beautiful property set in large gardens. Breakfast was good and we dined at their restaurant on a couple of nights and the food was excellent. Very close to the World of Wedgwood and a short walk to Barlaston, where there are a couple of pubs. EV charging is available for a small fee."

"The room was clean and reasonably priced. Sadly I didn’t sleep well as the mattress wasn’t very comfortable - small for a double, and it felt like we were rolling together . Hong had kindly given us a room at the back of the house as I mentioned I am a light sleeper, but because it wasn’t the property I was expecting to stay in, it meant it was near to the main road which was quite noisy through most of the night on and off. "We used to stay here many years back when visiting relatives in the area. Now it has turned into a Spa Resort, great for those who like and want to be pampered, no problems there, but we did find the restaurants evening menu is now very restricted for choice., plus there was always cold blasts of air, making it very uncomfortable to dine. Back in the day the then Ostler restaurant was far superior"
