The entire experience from start to finish was amazing. The location is so convenient, walkable are and easy beach access. Also the staff are very attentive and took amazing care of us! The food they offer is super tasty.

Well located on a beautiful stretch of beach, but what makes the difference at Ochos Bungalows are the people. First smiles and greeting from Sue Elene, beach and bar friends Giovani, Jimmy, Gabo and Vlad, with fresh fruit cocktails and mocktails combined with friendly conversation. And checking in with you all the time is Ilse. You can't go wrong joining this family for some R&R on the beach!~

Le bungalow est magnifique, le lit et la literie sont confortables, le personnel courtois. La chambre est nettoyée tous les jours. Le Ocho est situé au sud de la plage de Tamarindo, à côté du Jardin Tamarindo où se trouve plusieurs food trucks. Notre sympathique concierge Ilse a été toujours disponible pour nos demandes ou nos questionnement. J'y reviendrai sans hésiter.

We have never had a more relaxing vacation! It felt very White Lotus without any drama where everyone takes the best care of you and you feel like family at the end. Food was excellent, service off the charts and accommodations were straight out of paradise. A few feet to the pool, a few feet to the beach! Breakfast was included and was so generous that we really only needed one more meal each day! Your choice of daybeds, loungers, or cabanas wherever you would like as they say it’s ‘your home’ for the week. Thank you Vlad, Danny, Kenya, Gio, Ilse and the rest of the team for a dreamy trip!

Ocho Artisan Bungalows was fanatastic! My partner and I were there foir 3 nights, but wished we had more time! I was a bit on edge as we got there - it's on a dirt road, no lobby (just an office), and no one had ever heard of it! so I wasn't sure what we were walkiing into. But, we were immediately greeted by Ilsa and Seyu (sorry about the spelling) - who made us feel totally welcome. The bungalows are completely unique - very modern amenities, but with an airy and artistic feel - almost like a tent (but it's not). The pool area is an oasis of calm and quiet - surrounded by luscious greenery, complete with daybeads - makes for a very peaceful day in the sun. The beach and beach club are great. We had round oversized day beds reserved for us - and the staff moved umbrella's so we were in the shade. The beach is incredible - beautiful sand, big waves to play in. Along with that, there is great food and delicious drinks - and Tanya, in her cowboy hat made everything even better! This is a small place and the best part is the staff - isla took such good care of us - it was like being part of a family. We really appreciated everything that she did for us. This is not a generic hotel - so if you are looking for a standard big chain - this is not it. But, if you are looking for a small, intimate, beautiful resort with impeccible service and attention to detail - this is the place to be. Couldn't recommend it enough!

Very unique place, artsy, non-corporate, delightful. Bungalows had covered porches with very comfortable outdoor furniture, including tables, couches, fans and lighting. AC worked great. Ilse and her staff are incredibly responsive and go out of their way to make this a wonderful and welcoming place. Breakfast is right on the beach but in the shade of trees and umbrellas. Walking distance (5 min) to vibrant downtown with clubs, excellent restaurants and shopping. We ate at the hotel’s small beachfront restaurant several times in additional to breakfast (which included lots of different tropical, costa to an, and American breakfast options). Wildlife is all around including monkeys, egrets, a crocodile (fenced out), and we saw an iguana in the trees.

Our bungalow was a beautiful sight, and we had the privilege of seeing monkeys, raccoons, and even a crocodile! The restaurant area offered a breathtaking view. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, remembering our names and making sure we had everything we needed. Sue was particularly great—friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we required. Ilse was amazing, going above and beyond to make each day of our stay special. She provided recommendations, engaged us in delightful conversations, and made us feel truly valued. To celebrate my 40th birthday, Ilse elevated the festivities by decorating our room while we were away. She also spoke to the chef to prepare our catch, and dinner was simply delicious, complemented by the rest of the food. We had an incredible time here, and Ilse truly made our vacation unforgettable. If you’re visiting Tamarindo, we highly recommend this place!

Everything at Ocho was amazing, the customer service went above and beyond to make it have a family feel and that we were always taken care of. The rooms were amazing, breakfast every morning was delicious, the beach club and restaurant was one of the best on the beach with great music. The location is extremely close to all restaurants.I felt super safe which was something I worried about being right on the beach but the rooms are very protected. I have zero bad things to say about this place, 10/10 experience and would HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Staff were very welcoming and friendly, our garden room was beautiful and different from staying in an ordinary hotel. Location was perfect on the beach at the end of the restaurant strip , easy to walk along the front but not too noisy. Drinks and food were good but not served quickly, but that just CG ave you time to watch the world walk by on the beach or surf, we wish we could have stayed longer and will stay here again

Staff was great, Kenya and Giavante were excellent servers. Ilse and Sue were great with concierge service.

Wow - what a magical time! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Pri and Zula were INCREDIBLE - the best service and absolute kindest people. Gabriel at the bar was also exceptional - everyone staffed was so kind, warm, and friendly. We felt truly at home :) The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, bed is comfortable, and so charming/unique. Super safe area and the food at the restaurant was incredibly delicious - the fish and chicken tacos were some of the best bites we had on our entire vacation! The grounds were also gorgeous and we loved the pool and overall vibes. Would 100% come back and highly recommend Ocho to anyone visiting the area!

Ocho is an incredible hotel!! Beautiful rooms with waterfall shower, large tub and beautifully decorated. Beachfront lounge chairs, a pool with view of the ocean and such wonderful service. I felt so welcome and taken care of even before I arrived. It’s a place to unwind and let go!

Unique rooms and easy beach access. Staff were all great. No TVs in some of the bungalows so if that is a necessity be careful.
