"The hotel was amazing, the room that we stayed in was so clean and lovely, it was the witch’s hat room .we loved it .all the staff were amazing, so friendly , polite and helpful.we will definitely stay there again .the food was lovely and not over priced."

"The bathroom in room 10 defo needs a reverb. The toilet was so close to the radiator you were constantly burning your leg on it. The toilet flush button sunk lower & lower during our 3 day stay. Full English equals, 2x eggs, 1 sausage, half a small tomato 2 x bacon & mushrooms allegedly locally sourced. NO black pudding, beans or fried bread. You could start the day with orange juice and cereal (the owners Favourite porridge was constantly The bed in room 10 was a tiny double I’m 6ft 6 and the wife 5ft 5 I had dreams of falling out. The bedside table is taken up with a massive lamp that gives out 1 candles worth of light. No room to put anything as the drawers are taken up with spare pillows, cushions etc. the TV is quite old & unable to receive and HD signal. 101,102 etc Take a. Extension lead as there is only 1 spare socket in the room. The wall between 9 & 10 is paper thin (plasterboard)you can listen to each others TV."

"This is a basic hotel offering for a fair price accommodation near the centre of Taunton. I found staff polite, the room unexceptional though mostly clean not the most modern, the corridors and feel a little maze-like (I wasn't convinced I could have found the way without the very helpful receptionist walking me to the relevant staircase). Overall good for the money."

"A little dated and basic, but was very pleasantly surprised! Enjoyed my spontaneous night here with the dog, staff very kind and helpful. Big cups in the room, with nice biscuits and Yorkshire tea! Very affordable too for the night, would very happily return - given at a services, I didn’t hear the motorway at all! I stayed for convenience, not a ‘need’ and personally for £37 a night, I’d happily go back again!"
