"Lovely motel right on the lake. Quiet, comfortable and clean room which was a good size, with good amenities and a nice balcony and lake views.The staff were lovely and very helpful. Taupo is a lovely town with lots of cafes, bars, restaurants. Plenty to do."

"I can not rate this motel high enough, great hosts, impeccably clean and well thought out rooms. Amazing views, bikes, 3 pools and the list goes on. I give this 10:10. It’s a 15 min walk to town but so much around it so it was the perfect location for us to appreciate the lakes. "

"Stayed for 2 nights. Room was clean, modern and comfortable due to recent upgrades to the property. Allocated parking for each room. Walk to town 10-15 minutes where there is a great choice of restaurants."

"We loved this place! Easy access to all restaurants down by water. Super sweet lady on checkin and gentleman on checkout. Local milk provided for tea / coffee. Bed firmer than used to but it was comfortable and slept well. Large bathroom and a mini kitchen (we didn’t use due to being there one night). Super clean and just a great overall place. Highly recommend!"

"We had a fabulous three nights at Clearwater. We loved being right beside the lake and had a beautiful panoramic view from our unit. The setting was very restful - just what we needed. The Clearwater staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable, and the shower and in-room spa were great. (Fantastic pressure in the shower!) The motor lodge is only a quick drive (or a nice walk) into town for coffee, shopping, activities and takeaway meals, and we also went down to Rainbow Point...

"Needed to do some washing here as we had been travelling for over a week. Unfortunately the washing machine was out of action but the house manager allowed us to us the hotels washing machine so helpful and accommodating would recommend this hotel/ motel. Would definitely stay here again "
