"Very clean and nicely organized, easy to check in and out. The only downside was the smell of paint (or some other similar chemical) in the room. It's also a bit noisy, but that's just the area, not the apartment's fault. "

The food was actually very good which is surprising for a hotel. The only thing that was slightly disappointing about the hotel—it was a lot further from Kings Cross Station than we thought. I think the description in Expedia was a bit misleading. It was probably a good 35-45 minute walk and if you have luggage, the sidewalk is bumpy,...

Check-in was quick and efficient with great communication from staff.
Room was quirky and uniquely decorated. Very comfortable and lovely touches with free mini bar and sandwiches left in room after checking in.
Altogether a great place to stay, will not hesitate to stay again.

"We had a wonderful stay at The Standard. We particularly loved how dog friendly it was. Our room was a cosy room with no windows which may not suit everyone but was perfect for us because it meant it was pretty sound insulated which was ideal for our dog who doesn't like too many noises. They provided a dog bed, dog bowls as well as treats, all included in the cost of our room which was so lovely considering at other hotels we've stayed at the hotels charge us an additional cleaning fee but...
