"We had a standard double room, which was clean and modern. Had obviously been renovated relatively recently, all the fixings and fittings in excellent condition. The lights all linked to touchscreens located throughout the room. Powered shutters on the windows and AC which was effective. Complimentary water in the fridge, tea and instant coffee. As a vegan, the options at the breakfast buffet were limited to fruit, cereal + soy milk, bread + jam, some hot mixed veg, and a couple of sweet cakes....

"We really enjoyed our stay at Quarto Verde apartments. The apartment was very clean and had decent amenities. The location is in a quiet residential area of Bergamo, about 10 mins walk from the main train station area. It seemed to us that there were quite a lot of 'elderly' potentially permanent residents staying at Quarto Verde, which was unusual from the usual accommodations we stay in for city breaks, but we had no problem with that and i think those guests with their demeanour, doggy...

"Great location, modern nicely decorated room. Previous occupants shampoo/conditioner were left in the showe which left us wondering how thoroughly cleaned the shower had been. The walls are very thin between rooms & unfortunately we had incredibly noisy neighbours with loud music and loud voices. We did contact reception but there are no staff on site to deal with issues like that."

Unfortunately, upon arrival, it turned out that the room was not properly prepared – there was standing water in the sink, and the bathroom was dirty and not cleaned. At the reception, I was informed that I could use the minibar, but it turned out to be incomplete and not fully stocked. "Just right for a very late night arrival from the airport. Decided to walk from the airport as there was a long queue for taxis. Easy well lit walk at 2.30am, we were sent instructions on how to enter via a key safe - the video sent by the hotel made it super easy. Room was clean, comfy, nice bathroom and had kettle with tea and coffee. Hosts were lovely as was the breakfast, personally we couldn’t fault it. "
