"I have traveled to Bologna on quite a few occasions over the past 40 years....and this is the one place I can't imagine not staying at next time I visit. Historic building, beautiful views, lovely accommodations, wonderfully located, delicious breakfast - and most of all, a truly special host. One caveat, there are stairs (though the owner will take care of baggage), so if you are mobility restricted, you would need to take that into consideration."

"Property was in a part of central Bologna a way (30 min walk) from main attractions except the 2 towers. It was entirely self-service and the room locks worked with difficulty. One has to carry around 4 mets keys - front door, main reception, corridor with guest rooms and one’s own room. The breakfast was minimal, but one doesn’t starve. We never met anyone in person, but it was fine because we received quick and detailed responses to any questions we had. "I really loved this hotel! It was in a great location in the center of town, the staff was so friendly and helpful, housekeeping was very good and the breakfast was excellent. I choose this hotel because they had gym access for my spouse and they had a rear patio garden with couches, seating, umbrellas and bar service for me. We really enjoyed our stay there and I would stay there again if we were back in Bologna."
