"Lovely, quiet, hotel in a residential area very close to the River Trent. Ample free parking, although the staff will need a note of your vehicle registration. Our superior king size room was fresh, modern and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. There is an in room kettle, tea, coffee etc as well as a coffee machine with pods Although we were only there for one night there was plenty of space in the wardrobe and there were also lots of hangers - which makes a refreshing change....

"Nice standard aparthotel with basic cooking facilities, including a two ring hob and microwave that did much more if you have the know how. Dishwasher but only one tablet! Parking needs visit to Reception and very tight small spaces underground. Well located for centre. Free coffee and tea in tap along with breakfast croissants."

"Booking a room was misleading because the picture of the room wasn’t the room we were put in , wasn’t told we could order a cooked breakfast, wasn’t told that they had a smoking area, overall the room was very clean , the bed and bedding was spotless, we had tea , coffee and biscuits in room , bathroom was spotless which was very appreciated"

"Hotel is near the Jubilee campus but not near city centre. Clean and big room and staff was helpful. We had to pay for carpark at £6 per day. There used to be free carpark before this. It would be good if hotel guests are given free carpark like before as the price of the hotel stay is not cheap."

I had to contact reception and wait approximately 10 minutes on the phone before a replacement code was issued. Unfortunately, the issues did not end there. "Loved our stay at St James will definitely be back! Situated in a lovely area, room was clean and comfortable all you need. Unfortunately we visited when the restaurant was out of action for refurbishment but plenty of local places to eat which were great."
