"Upon checking in the person checking my mother-in-law in was very rude, had an attitude, and didn’t speak or welcome us. That was a turn off after traveling for hour's!! Everything else was great!! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I’m not sure if I would stay there again because of the lady who was rude with the blue hair.. She needs a class on customer service for sure!!!"

"The Anchor @ Hidden Harbor is a true gem of Deale, MD. Great staff, clean & functional rooms, the boathouse restaurant & bar just outside the front door. Great for families and boaters! I would definitely stay here again when visiting Deale. "

"Cons: -housekeeping service: front desk and housekeeping didn’t communicate w/ each other. Or, staff simply didn’t want to “refresh” our rooms during a five night stay. - A/C, it was 90* out & the AC in the room was not consistent. There was no option to keep it “on” vs auto. - parking: $5 a day Pros: - location, was great for us since we were there for the naval academy - manager & some staff, I wish I got the name of the manager. "Carpet was old and needed replacement and cleaning. Quite smelly Once I mentioned to the front desk, they got maintenance on it and reported it to corporate. Needs some updates. Could not use the gym or pool area Gym smelled bad not cleaned though lots of housekeeping around and the pool water was and hot tub were merky. It was also insane that they were charging for unsecured parking that used to be free."

"Ceiling falling apart in many common areas around property. A man with shower bonnet jumped out of his parked suspicious tinted window vehicle in the back of the parking lot on a sunny Friday morning at 9am and screamed at me to get my leashed calm dog away from his car. Extremely threatening and scary. Many vulgar words. I felt the front desk clerk had too much of an attitude to not offer any meaningful assistance. Will not stay here again"

"It would help to dust the bathroom before guest arrive. Our bathroom shower was super dusty and there was food left behind in the mini fridge and a bitten apple under the chair"

"Our room is shockingly awful. The appliances are dirty, primarily outside but I wouldn't use the microwave with a 10 foot pole. I always thought Hampton Inn and Suites was an upscale hotel. This looks like a Motel 6 or Super 8. I guess since it is pet friendly, it's assumed pet owners are dirty."
