The food was great, with plenty of options and good quality throughout our stay. The only thing worth noting is that some facilities, such as the swimming pool, require an additional charge if you wish to use them. However, this did not take away from our overall experience. "Love this place! Lovely, welcoming real fires in winter. Cool outdoor area for brighter days. Spent a great couple of hours in the beer garden. Rooms clean and well kitted out. Breakfast brilliant!"

"The room looked better than the photos online. It was spotless and everything was just right - the linens, the carpet, the water temperature in the shower. Sam was an amazing host - when there was an issue with the booking and I encountered issues trying to resolve it with the booking platform - she was helpful and reassuring. My stay was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious - loved the granary bread and I forgot to ask Sam about the coffee - exceptional blend, I want to buy some....

"Check in was very efficient and she answered our questions quickly. Her dining recommendation was very solid. Delightful room with essentially a glass wall, lots of light. Nice bedding, lighting, kettle coffee/tea, furnishings. Quite a bit of people noise and room door lock beeping in the hallway. I have stayed at hundreds of properties and this was the first with beeping card readers. The doors also slam shut loudly, which can be remedied via door closer adjustments and gasketing. Quite a...

"The reception experience was not good. It was advertised as bed and breakfast but when I got there, I was told that I had to pay extra for the breakfast and never saw anyone to cook the breakfast if I wanted one."
