"I am a frequent traveler and can say from experience that the room we were given was not up the expectations. Mimslyn is advertised as a quality hotel yet our bathroom was not clean. The shower floor was dirty and we complained to the front desk but we were told they were fully booked and could not move us. The desk clerk made no effort to assist us. The bar food was terrible but the Sunday brunch was worth the cost. That is our only recommendation."

"Love the peacefulness of the setting, can't be beat. The wait staff at the Lodge restaurant and cafe were great. Hubby is a wheelchair user. Please, stop standing there waiting for us as we a struggling to open, hold the door open and get through the door. Helping another customer, I have no problem with you not offering an extra hand. "This property is nestled by the river, which is such a lovely spot. Donna is such a wonderful innkeeper; she made us feel right at home. The breakfast was both healthy and delicious, and it was made with love. I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you’re searching for a lovely BnB near Shenandoah National Park, this is like home without the chores. If I could give it 6 stars, I would!"
