"We had a lovely stay for a couple of nights while we saw family. We enjoyed a meal when we arrived on the Monday evening which was lovely but the portions were large. We decided to have the Continental breakfast on our last morning which is all self service with a lot of choice. The staff were very attentive."

"If you are looking for an elegant, historic, clean yet simple stay then this is the hotel for you in Winchester. The old building is beautiful inside and out. The staff are very friendly and also very helpful. This was the first time we were travelling with our 4 month old baby and the staff were very accommodating (all staff were but the name Lynn is the one I remember) and helped us store our pram safely without havingto carry it up the stairs several times per day. Great hotel all round, well...

My room was clean, cozy, comfortable; the entire property was safe and well lit. On site parking was beyond convenient. Highly recommend!! "

Knocked 1 star off service not because there was anything wrong but just seems odd to say it was excellent when my only interaction consisted if being issued with a key. Staff were polite and friendly for this short interaction "
