"We rented a luxury apartment. It had a spacious living area with all you need for self catering. Housekeeper there to welcome us and show us to the room. Like the fact you can have your apartment serviced - clean towels etc. If you have a car there are reserved spaces out the back in the car park. Only negatives were the apartment we rented was on the top floor (three flights of stairs) - no lift. So with heavy baggage it’s hard work but not a real problem for us. Bedroom is very small and...

"All staff friendly and attentive. Had Bed & Breakfast stay in room with an atrium balcony which I can highly recommend in hot weather, the water features on the first floor provides more natural air conditioning. Plus the sound of the water provides a calming ambience."

"The hotel is very dated, not very clean and not maintained very well. Stayed there because it was a Best Western, but it wasn't of the same quality of a Best Western Hotel. "Well located hotel within five minutes walk of the ferry port. An old fashioned style B and B with seemingly new owners (Opul Group). Rooms are large but maybe a little in need of a refresh. Everything clean. Breakfast included which was surprisingly excellent. Buffet style but even catered for us as vegans which was amazingly welcome. Well located for the town centre, next door to wetherspoons which can be loud on a weekend, but no huge problem."

The convenience to the ferry terminal was great as was the access to the bus. The breakfast basket was as comprehensive as we have ever had and satisfied our requirements excellently. As for Isle of Man, we did not know what to expect but it far exceeded our expectations, The steam train, the vintage electric railway, the train up the mountain and horse drawn...
