"Clean, comfortable and affordable room with nice shower! Bri met us with a smile and showed us around the place. We were not able to use the cute fire-pit area or tiki bar due to inclement weather, but I'm sure it's a hit on nice evenings. Coffee and tea are available 24/7 in the main house. Rooms come with a fridge which is great if you go out to eat and have leftovers. Centrally located on the island. "

"The staff was very accommodating in making sure we were happy with our room, even moving us to another room that was non-smoking. the Kitcheonette had a full-sized refrigerator. The beds were very comfortable with blackout curtains. It is a great location, near downtown Manteo and lots of restaurants. An inexpensive place to stay when going to a show at Manteo. "

"The hotel is in the middle of renovations, so there’s that. Great location and check in staff was friendly. For the price we paid for an oceanfront room, the room was ok. It had been updated, but there were cigarette ashes on our balcony and hair all over our room floor. The bathroom ceiling had mold. The neighbors that stayed near us Saturday night were obnoxiously loud til 4:30am, but that’s not the hotels fault. "

"I am so glad i found the FCI for our first trip to the Outer Banks. We really enjoyed our six night stay there during the last week of October. Our room was perfect for us and the yummy hot breakfast every morning was amazing. We chose a historic inn rather than a hotel or airbnb because we like the more personal touch an Inn provides. "The property is convenient to the beach, has plenty of parking, has a gym, pool and laundry room as well. The carpet on the halls smells and s stained and could use a good professional cleaning. Rooms are comfortable and have a kitchenettes. It was nice to have a fridge. Great staff. "
