Hotel MOXY di The South

"I typically love Moxy hotels and was eager to stay in the D.C. location. However, the staff seemed slightly annoyed, the lobby smelled like something was burning, and I was up until 3 a.m. the night of my flight out of the city due to a LOUD wedding party next door to my room and all down the hall that made noise all night. All in all, it was a very disappointing stay."

"Awful experience. The double queen bed was booked so I paid for a king room for my sister and I. When we arrived we were told it wasn’t available and they I shouldn’t have booked with Expedia. After approx 9 mins of the worker “finding” a room it was a queen bed in an handicap room. My sister and I were squished in a small bed. Extremely rude staff, bathroom was not clean, pictures are not truthful. It’s definitely not the vibe as described, no one goes in there. I wish I wouldn’t have booked...

"The staff was great all around. It was not clear when we booked there is only one parking option (valet) and it’s not cheap. We chalked it up to the price of being right in the downtown Broadway district. You can’t possibly stay in a better location than this. My wife and I looked at one another when we walked in because the place had a hint of sewer smell in the air. We walked into our room and it was notably worse. "Clean room. Staff helpful. Recommend getting a room with the ocean view and balcony. Bar area is great. Valet’s are fast and helpful. Property could be maintained a bit better. Dirty furniture, carpet and stained pillows in reception area. Poorly maintained gates to enter pool area. Games outside in poor condition ie. Corn hole bags with no corn in them to play. Great location."
