"We had an enjoyable stay overall, despite a few minor inconveniences. The hotel benefits from a great location, and the availability of on-site parking was particularly convenient.
We felt that a few improvements could really help elevate the experience. While the hotel is generally well maintained, some areas feel a little tired, neglected and lacking in purpose. The leisure area, particularly the space next to the now-closed swimming pool, is one example.
We stayed in a family room, which...

"The hotel was really a hostel and did not match up with images on their website. We were expecting to be staying in a country house hotel not a youth hostel. The only facility we had was wifi. The room was clean but very basic with no ability to make ourselves a tea or coffee without walking down two flights of very steep steps to the kitchen which was a health and safety nightmare - no idea why they could not have put a tea/ coffee station on the top floor. There was no television...

"Nice old building but in need of repairs and updates, room wasn’t particularly clean, old windows with condensation and not be cleaned for a while !
Good breakfast, location not bad but a killer of a hill to get back up at night, was ok as a base but if looking for a special occasion I’d look elsewhere"

"The Apartment, was quiet and just the right size for one or two people to stay in. The town was walkable to the town, but it was the hills coming back up. There was no onsite parking and it was pop lucky if you got a space on the road."

"This beautifully quaint cottage is perfectly situated in the centre of Lyme Regis, on a historic Saxon lane. The hustle and bustle of the town cannot be heard from the cottage or the charming garden, with a rooftop and green hilly view. I would definitely recommend and come back if in the area again. It was clean, very well equipped and full of old architectural features, my sister, brother and my dog loved it. Thank you for letting us stay and feel so comfortable."

"Clean, great location and as advertised. Comfy beds, nice furniture and good shower.
One free car parking space at a car park 5 min walk away, the car park is otherwise very expensive.

"The property was as in pictures apart from the entrance, which was around the back of the property on an uneven surface and up a steep metal wet staircase. Would suggest slated blinds as the sun makes the property very hot especially at the velux window above the sink.
Overall, a pleasant stay in a lovely sea side town. "

"This property is very hard to find as the address given 8A Coombe street is incorrect. It is down a back path behind other properties. It took 40mins & several calls to Sykes cottages to find it! There is a cat (not mentioned in booking blurb) who comes via a cat flap which can be locked which we did due to a cat allergy! Overall it is a little 'tired' but the decor is nice and amenities are good, everything you need. It does need a thorough clean of lamps, pictures etc and a good clean of...

"Very clean comfortable stay.
There was a keysafe at the property but you had to go to a different place to pick up and drop off the key which seemed odd.
Parking was round the corner and down the hill."
